Notes: This handsome boy apprears to be a Tennesse Treeing Hound, found abandoned in pretty bad shape on the railroad tracks in Halifax County. Current on vaccinations, he has tested positive for heartworms and has started treatment, his neuter is being scheduled. Friendly and outgoing, he is dog friendly, working on living life inside since he was probably used for hunting. Adoption Application Form
Before you can adopt one of the dogs you need to complete our Adoption Application Form. Applications must be submitted and vetting/personal references must be checked before an adoption is completed. You will not be able to adopt a puppy or dog on the day of your visit if you do not have a verified application.

Rainbow Animal Rescue has foster homes in the area of Roanoke Rapids and a kennel facility in Halifax, North Carolina. We welcome volunteers to foster dogs and help at the kennels.
